Band Saw

A band saw blade is a long, continuous loop of toothed metal used with a band saw to make precise straight or curved cuts in a variety of materials, including wood, metal, plastic, and composites. The blade runs on two or more wheels that rotate it at high speed, allowing for consistent cutting action.
Band saw blades vary in width, tooth configuration (TPI – teeth per inch), and material to match specific applications. Narrow blades are ideal for tight curves and intricate shapes, while wider blades are better for straight cuts and resawing. Blades made from carbon steel, bi-metal, or carbide-tipped materials are selected based on the hardness and type of material being cut. Band saws and their blades are commonly used in woodworking, metalworking, fabrication, and meat processing for their versatility and accuracy.
